The CFO Project Cost: CFO Advisory Launch Pricing
FREE TRAINING THIS WEEK ON BECOMING A CFO

CFO Advisory Launch Pricing: Starting at $9,999

CFO Advisory Launch starts at $9,999, and financing options are available.

At The CFO Project, you get the systems and the support you need to start your own CFO advisory practice. That is what the money buys. For $9,999 you are buying a business, in the form of three proven systems that add a recurring revenue stream to the practice you already run, or build you one from scratch.

Most people who search for this are pricing training. Training comes with the program, and it is the smallest part of what you get. What follows is what is actually in the box, what the business is worth once it runs, and how to tell in about ten minutes whether this is worth a conversation.

Schedule a 30-minute call with one of our Enrollment Advisors. We'll show you exactly how we'll help you start a CFO Advisory business in our done-with-you program. You'll also learn how the program works, the investment options, and about our money back guarantee.

What you get for $9,999

You are buying a business in a box. It comes as three systems, and they are the three things any business needs: something to sell, a way to find buyers, and a way to close them.

1. Something to sell

Business owners want to be successful. They want to hit the goals they set and make their families proud. Almost none of them wake up thinking they need a CFO, and none of them are out searching for one.

The One Clear Path is what you sell them. It is a simple system, and you run the same one with every client in every industry. Its whole job is to put a standing monthly meeting on the calendar where you show the owner where their cash actually went, what is driving it, and what to watch next month. Their accountant sees them once a year for the return. Their bookkeeper sends the reports. Nobody is paid to sit down and tell them what the numbers mean and what to do next. That meeting is how an owner gets closer to what they were after when they started the business.

Running it takes two to four hours a month per client. That is what makes a monthly retainer work as a business, and it means you are not rebuilding the engagement every time someone new signs on.

2. A way to find buyers

If owners are not out looking for a CFO, you have to go to where they already are. That rules out most of what passes for marketing advice, because cold outreach and ad spend are how a product company finds customers. Advisory work gets bought on trust, so every strategy has to start somewhere that trust already exists.

You get three of them. The existing client upsell strategy starts with the book you already have, since those owners have been asking you questions past the books for years. The strategic partnership strategy goes after the bankers, attorneys and insurance advisors who sit beside the same owners you want, and who get asked questions every week that they are not the right person to answer. The association strategy puts you in the rooms your clients are already sitting in.

3. A way to close them

Most financial professionals do not like selling. The version of it they have seen involves talking someone into something they were not sure they wanted, and that is the last thing you want to do to a client you have known for years.

The 4-Step Conversion System is built the other way around. Each step is a conversation where you show an owner something true about their own business that nobody has shown them before. By the fourth one the owner has usually talked themselves into it, and your job is to tell them what happens next.

None of this is information you are missing. It is a business you do not have to invent.

Is this like buying a franchise?

Sort of.

Someone who buys a window washing franchise is not paying for knowledge about windows. They are paying for systems that already worked somewhere else, so they do not spend three years finding out what does not work. That is the right way to think about this number.

The CFO Project is not a franchise. The differences all run in your favor:

  • No royalty and no ongoing percentage of your revenue
  • No standards we impose on how you run your practice
  • No territory
  • No brand you have to operate under. Your practice keeps your name and your clients stay yours

You buy the systems once. What you build on them belongs to you.

The support that comes with the systems

Systems alone will not get you a client. Handed three of them and left to it, most people stall in the same few places. So the second half of what you buy is the support that gets you through them.

You get a peer group, which is a room of people building the same service at the same time, so the first hard conversation you have about pricing is not with a client.

You get an executive coach. Imposter syndrome is the single biggest thing we see stop people, and it has nothing to do with whether they can read a P&L. The coach is there to get you past that and to hold you accountable for the work of building the business, so the systems get run the way they were designed instead of half-adopted and then blamed.

You get a CFO mentor who has run this work with real businesses and can tell you what a client is actually going to ask.

You also get the training itself, in the form of on-demand videos, workshops and masterclasses, so you keep honing the craft of advisory as your business grows.

What the business is worth once it runs

Retainers in this work commonly run from $1,500 to $5,000 or more per month. The average monthly retainer across our community is $1,978.

Five clients at $1,978 a month is $118,680 a year in recurring revenue.

That is just math, not a promise. It illustrates the potential, and plenty of our CFO Advisors are realizing meaningful income.

Set it against what the time is worth elsewhere. The average accountant in the United States earns about $81,680 a year, which works out to roughly $39 an hour. CFO Advisory work, at least the way we do it, runs two to four hours a month per client. Four hours at the average retainer is just shy of $500 an hour.

"I've been part of many groups, I've NEVER seen the success I've seen with The CFO Project. In less than 6 months I've added more than $100K in contracts."
Jemel S., member of The CFO Project

Count the clients who already ask you questions

Open your client list. Mark every client who has asked you something in the last year that went past the books.

Whether to hire someone. Whether they could afford the equipment. Why the bank balance was down in a month that felt good. Whether to raise prices.

Write the number down. It decides which of the next two paragraphs is about you.

If you don't have a book of business yet

Maybe you wrote down zero.

That's exactly why lead generation is one of the three systems and not a bonus module. You'll be building the client base and the service at the same time, where someone with a full book only has to build one of them. It takes longer. Not harder, just longer.

And if you wrote down three or more, you already have what everyone else is trying to buy. Those owners have been asking you these questions for years. Nobody has ever sent them an invoice for the answer.

What it costs to build these systems yourself

The real cost is not in dollars.

You would need to build the monthly delivery process, work out how to package it so an owner can picture it, learn a pricing conversation that holds a retainer at that level, and find the first client without a script.

Every piece of this can be built alone. People do it. That is the part that takes a year, often more, and at the end you have what already exists.

What to do next

You have the price, what is in the box, and what the business is worth once it runs. What you do not have is the systems.

The next step is a Right-Fit Call. It is thirty minutes with one of our Enrollment Advisors, and it is a conversation about your practice, the clients you have or the ones you would need to find, and whether this is the right move for you. If you do not have a single client yet, book it anyway. That is a normal place to start and a normal call for us to have.

Schedule a 30-minute call with one of our Enrollment Advisors. We'll show you exactly how we'll help you start a CFO Advisory business in our done-with-you program. You'll also learn how the program works, the investment options, and about our money back guarantee.
